Small sustainable farm dedicated to growing fine vegetables, flowers and fruits for the local community.

We are a diversified vegetable and flower farm in the heart of Indianola, WA. Our flowers and veggies are sold at local restaurants and the Bainbridge Island Farmer's Market, and we're proud to have one of the longest running CSAs in the country. We offer wedding and event flowers, from bulk buckets to intricate arrangements. We are dedicated to helping raise healthy food and to educating the next

It’s a celebration of the autumnal equinox on Saturday September 21 at Persephone Farm!! Come and bring a picnic, dine in the yurt meadow and listen to music by Carrie Wicks w/Nick Allison and Tide Flat 4!

The mother of the bride asked me to incorporate her family’s cherished Eden roses into her daughter’s bridal bouquet yesterday. What could be a more elegant moment in the flower year than the simultaneous loveliness of old fashioned roses, peonies, ranunculus, delphinium and mock orange.

The first dahlias of the season bloomed on 6/10!

A miracle after three nights at 10 degrees in January. There are pros and cons to leaving the tubers in the ground.

The season is starting to wrap up here at Persephone! High tunnels are coming down and the fields are clearing out. We’ve decided last week will be our final of the year so we can prioritize our CSA. But, if you’re not a member, you can still find our offerings on every weekend for Wednesday pickup. 🍂🎃

🥶 Yesterday morning we opened the fridge to find that it had decided it would rather be a freezer. This affected not only our CSA harvest, but our restaurant, Kitsap Fresh, and food bank orders as well. This amounts to a lot of food and labor hours in the compost. We tried to salvage or replace what we could, but of course, if you received something damaged that we missed, please reach out!

We are so grateful to our subscribers and community members for being so understanding in the face of a hard situation. And of course, we are grateful for each other- our amazing team was able to still have a pretty successful day in the face of it all.

Come see us at the market today! It’s important to us to keep our food affordable, accessible, and long-lasting. Washington has a few options to make the market worth your while, and we take donations all year long to get our produce to local food banks. Good, local food is for everyone!

A little more Meet the - Oona Bill, a life-long Kitsap County resident, is our intern for the season! She recently returned from a gap year traveling in Spain and Costa Rica, and will be attending Evergreen in the fall. She is a hard worker and a passionate humanitarian. Persephone’s long-running internship program partners with the UW extension as well as other farms in the community to teach aspiring farmers the ins and outs of small farms

In honor of her 8th birthday yesterday, allow me to introduce Nali the farm dog! A key player on our , she’s our morale captain, top rabbit chaser, and co-greeter for our CSA pick up days. Davis and Nali met in a remote village in Alaska and have since traveled all over the USA.
