Edge of the Woods Raspberry Farm YUM! Our Annual Open House will be Saturday November 19, 2022 from 10am to 2pm. Orders may be placed by calling or texting the farm at 515-961-7252.

Edge of the Woods Farm, LLC is a family owned farm offering flavorful in season fresh fruit; red and black raspberries, blackberries, tart cherries, blueberries, rhubarb, gooseberries and currants. Farm jams and specialty products will be available for purchase along with other holiday gift selections. Pre-orders are welcome with pick-up between November 19th and December 18th as inventory allows.

In 2005, Rick and Beth McGeough had a personal reason for planting a crop of red raspberries. We wanted flavorful and fresh berries and wanted to know how and where they were being grown and harvested. It wasn't long and we realized that others wanted this too. So, Edge of the Woods Farm was born. What started with red raspberries has grown to black raspberries, blackberries and blueberries. In 2011, the addition of the berry building took place and we included specialty products and offer fresh fruit pies on weekends. In 2014, catered outdoor country picnics were added to the already fresh air friendly atmosphere. Minimum groups of 8 are required for the picnics. Bring your friends family or group and enjoy the berry farm. You will choose your groups' menu from a selection of delicious items. You have become our friends and we have enjoyed watching 2 and 3 generations come together to the farm to spend time picking berries or shopping in our berry building."

11/15/25 - Farm Hours this weekend - Saturday 10am-1pm and Sunday 1-3pm. Also open weekdays by appointment. Farm jams, baked goods and specialty products are available plus great gift ideas.

Sunday, 9/28/25, open from 1-3pm. Perfect day to pick beautiful fall red raspberries. U-pick $4 per pint box (we provide) today only. They are plentiful and great for freezing, jams and desserts. Also today are a limited number of farm made pies.

Sunday 9/14/25 Join us today from 1-3pm for CHOOSE IOWA state wide farm tour. Special today includes Farm Made Pies from our own fruit plus Gluten Free Pies from Summerset Home Bakery. We will also have other product samples and our farm made jams.
