Can you tell which one is pork and which one is beef???

We raise our Berkshire/Hampshire hogs on pasture their whole lives! From birth to finish. Our hogs get to roam around and chose what to eat. This helps enhance the quality of their meat in several aspects such as:

✅Superior Fat Profile: Foraging on a diverse diet of grasses, roots, and insects results in pork with a healthier fatty acid composition—including higher omega-3 fatty acids and fewer inflammatory omega-6s.

✅ Pastured pork generally contains higher levels of essential vitamins (like Vitamin E and D) and minerals.

✅ More Antioxidants: Pasture-raised pork contains up to 74% more selenium, an antioxidant that works alongside Vitamin E to fight free radicals and support thyroid health.

✅ Enhanced Taste: Pastured pork is widely praised by chefs and consumers for a richer, more robust flavor compared to factory-farmed meat

✅ Reduced Toxin and Antibiotic Exposure: Pastured pigs rarely require the routine antibiotics often used in crowded, industrial confinement, reducing your exposure to antibiotic-resistant bacteria and chemical residues.

Pork is the “other red meat” if that’s true, then why is the meat at the store almost white or pink???
That is because commercial hogs are raised in containment and fed a controlled grain diet mostly comprised of corn and soy.

If you made it this far, pork is on the left and beef on the right.
Did you guess right? Were you surprised of the comparison?

We are taking deposits for our next group of hogs and you can reserve now.

Our cows have also started to ignore that bale and are focusing more on eating the grass that’s started to come up. BEWARE, the milk flavor and consistency may change based on what they choose to eat.

REMINDER- we are a GRAZING DAIRY!

These are grass fed cows. The seasons are changing and grass is in transition. The milk will change from week to week and day to day as grazing habits and forage change with the weather.

We do not believe in monoculture pastures. Our cows are free to chose the plant matter that appeals to them in their pastures. The milk flavor, smell, consistency... is affected by what the cattle eat.

Milk is consistent 365 days a year in a CAFO (confined livestock feeding operation) which we are not. We feel our milk cows are happiest roaming free in pastures.

🤯 some of these will blow your mind! We will make a post on why we don’t like the word “organic” and why we don’t use it on our products!

We have milk available today. Remember, if it doesn’t have a name, you can take it away! Haha loved how that rhymed. Anyway, come grab milk while it lasts. With new subscribers signing up for monthly subscription milk is flying off the shelves and we don’t have extra milk to separate cream from. We will not have cream in stock until further notice. We will have more milk once Poppy calves in mid July.

Hey everyone! We apologize if you have stopped by the last few days and haven’t found milk. Selling out is a great problem to have. You can always call or text and ask if we have milk in stock before making the drive. Keep in mind that you can also purchase a monthly subscription so your milk is always guaranteed! Even if we sell out that day, your milk will always be here waiting for you with your name on it.
