A little before/afters for ya

Ripped out all my cucumbers + tomatoes from my raised beds.

1. I was tired of watering them everyday
2. My plants were being absolutely decimated by hornworms on the tomatoes and blister beetles on the cucumbers

Hyacinth bean - one of the plants I have found that THRIVES in our Oklahoma heat! It’s a vine, so it likes a climb. It looks beautiful on a fence, arbor, trellis - take your pick! I’ve got it all around my chicken coop fence and I absolutely LOVE it.

It has a dark foliage and starts with these long, purple flowers. Once the flowers die back, dark purple bean pods appear!

It’s a really pretty plant that doesn’t look tired or scraggly in our Oklahoma direct sun. 10/10 recommend!

Safety First People!

Got thrown off my horse yesterday which was quite the experience. PTL I wasn’t seriously hurt and that I had my helmet on!

To each their own, but I’ll always have my helmet on regardless of how dorky it looks!
