Another wild week for the Airy Acres crew!
Our summer kickoff event on June 6 sure kicked us into gear. On Tuesday, Noah and Katie poured wine at the Taste of the Finger Lakes event in Ithaca for the first time. 900 ticket holders came through to taste samples from over fifty local food and beverage businesses! All proceeds from this event go to local nonprofits working to combat food insecurity in our region. We were honored to contribute to such a great cause and to share our wines with folks down in Ithaca.
Noah was back in Ithaca on Friday evening to pour samples at Triphammer Wines and Spirits, which he does every other month. Triphammer carries several of our wines in their store, so these tasting events are great opportunities to introduce our wines to people.
On Saturday, we divided and conquered! Adele and Kayla held down the fort in the tasting room, enjoying a gorgeous summer Saturday with live music by Ed Sawester from Garlic Band. A lot of folks took advantage of the weather and came out to enjoy some good wine and good music with us.
While everyone else was rocking out at the tasting room, Noah and Katie poured rosé at the Rosé Soirée event in Geneva for the third time. We joined over twenty other local wineries to share our rosés with event attendees. Our Glide Rosé was a special hit with folks on such a warm summer evening! This event is always a great opportunity to share our rosé with folks, support the local community in Geneva (where Noah and Katie live), and connect with our friends from other wineries.
Next week promises to be busy as well. Father’s Day weekend is racing toward us, and the crowd favorite Inishbofin will be back on Saturday from 2:30-5:30 to play traditional Irish tunes for our live music series. We can’t wait to see you there!
