Chardonnay enthusiasts, this one is for you!
Our next special vertical tasting event on Friday, 10/23 at 2pm will explore the variety of w**emaking styles we’ve used for our Airy Acres Chardonnay over the last several years. Featured w**es and styles include:

Chardonnay Cuvée (started in stainless steel, finished in oak)
2023 Chardonnay (blend of stainless steel and oaked)
2023 Blanc de Blanc (traditional method sparkling)
2024 Chardonnay (majority stainless steel, a little oak blended in)
2025 Chardonnay (barrel fermented)

This has to be our earliest harvest yet!

When the fruit is ready, you pick it right? And with the risk of rain in the early morning the decision was made to machine pick our Chardonnay at 3am on Thursday morning. Thanks so much to Dave Pittard for coming out with his amazing harvester even though it was so early in the morning!
Always something during harvest season!

Harvest is in full swing!

It's been a busy past two days here at the vineyard. On Tuesday we picked Lemberger for our Blanc de Blau, as well as some fruit for Divided Sky. Then on Wednesday we picked Rkatsiteli for this year's traditional method sparkling.
Fruit is holding up pretty well, we are excited to make some more delicious w**e this year!

Let's go Gewürz!

We had a busy day yesterday as we handpicked all of our Gewürztraminer. Our Gewürz crop was smaller this year after losing some to frost damage and sour rot, so we hand harvested to make sure we got all of the best fruit for making w**e.

Harvest is starting to ramp up as we get ready for more picking next week. If you're ever curious about what harvest is like, feel free to stop by the tasting room and we can chat about it over a glass of w**e!

Saturday music schedule alert!

Cielle will be playing live music at Airy Acres on Saturday, 9/19 from 2-5pm (starting and ending a little earlier than usual due to a private event that evening).

On Saturday, 9/26 the Deneckes will be back to the regular 2:30-5:30 live music time to finish out our summer series. Come raise a glass to the end of summer with us!

Harvest may have started and the kids may have gone back to school, but we’re not quite ready to let go of summer at Airy Acres!

This Saturday, Graze and Gather will be back with their charcuterie cart full of delicious snacks from 2-5pm. We also have the fabulous Liam Lawson providing live music in the gazebo from 2:30-5:30. Come on out and enjoy the waning days of summer with some good w**e, excellent charcuterie, fun music, and gorgeous views of the vineyard!

Harvest has officially begun!

First picking this year is some of the Chardonnay for sparkling for our friends at Inspire Moore and High Road W**e. We also had some help from friends and family as usual, and a guest appearance of a very helpful pup Olyv!

Things are looking grape!

Harvest is around the corner, so we decided to ask Nate (vineyard manager) what his thoughts were on the upcoming harvest. He says: "Grapes are looking good going into the harvest. But anything can happen before harvest is done, and will feel better when they are all off the vines."
