Autumn Acres Our story began with a patch of land "that would never grow anything", and the desire to start a garden. We also offer compact tractor services.

The sun sets on a busy day of progress...
We put in 3 posts and hose hangers by the hydrants, put the cattle panel up for the tomatoes, tilled and dragged the new garden out front, and planted all my veggies I had started in the basement. (3 varieties of tomatoes, 3 varieties of peppers, watermelons, and cucumbers).

Planting the seeds tomorrow. Lots of hope for a successful growing season!

Cucumbers popped up over night!

The first year I planted them near the pumpkins and completely forgot about them. They got huge and not edible by the time we found them in the weeds.

Last year was too dry and we learned you shouldn't plant them near tomatoes. I had them vining up the cattle panels next to the Romas and they never really produced

Fingers crossed for success this year! Lessons learned!

We also received our 50 (yes 50) pounds of starter potatoes. We have all of our corn, beans, and peas already. Blueberry and raspberry plants arrive any day. Hopeful for a successful growing season!

Final harvest of the season!

Not the greatest season, it was horribly dry. We watered what we could. We were thankful to have fresh vegetables on the table every night. No sweet corn at all this year, but we canned about 30 quarts of various tomato sauces, salsas, and pizza sauces. Always bittersweet to mow all the hard work down, but planning for next season and hoping for more rain!

Extras available along the driveway, just help yourself!
