What a special evening. šButcher Bert, his family, friends, yes⦠even his buddy Joe Atkins, County Commissioner showed up, and of course the true guest of honor, little Lyla, gathered together for one very important jobā¦counting and sorting every single book donated by YOU.
This wasnāt just a book drive. It was personal.ā¤ļø
Last summer, Lyla spent time at Childrenās Hospital, and one of the things that helped brighten those long days was having books to read. This year, she and her family wanted to make sure other kids would have that same comfort while staying at the hospital.
And wow, did this community show up. With the help of so many generous donors, along with incredible support from the Inver Grove Heights School District, a total of 3,046 books were collected. š
In the coming weeks, those books will be delivered to Childrenās Hospital and placed into the hands of kids who could use a little escape, a little adventure, and a reason to smile.
Thank you for rallying behind Lylaās Library, Hometown Meats, and this mission. Sometimes making a difference doesnāt require grand gestures. Sometimes itās as simple as a book, a story, and a community that cares.
From the bottom of our hearts⦠thank you.
