Butter Burgers, Smoked Wild Rice Pepperjack Brats, Brisket Sandwiches and All Beef Hot Dogs.

Don’t ask tomorrow when he’s bringing out the food truck again, because it’s here today. See you soon.

That’s not your neighbor firing up the grill… it’s Butcher Bert and the food truck rolling into the Hometown Meats parking lot today from 10 AM–3 PM.

One quick heads up….the food truck’s credit card system decided it needed a day off, so the truck is CASH ONLY today.

What a special evening. 💙Butcher Bert, his family, friends, yes… even his buddy Joe Atkins, County Commissioner showed up, and of course the true guest of honor, little Lyla, gathered together for one very important job…counting and sorting every single book donated by YOU.

This wasn’t just a book drive. It was personal.❤️

Last summer, Lyla spent time at Children’s Hospital, and one of the things that helped brighten those long days was having books to read. This year, she and her family wanted to make sure other kids would have that same comfort while staying at the hospital.

And wow, did this community show up. With the help of so many generous donors, along with incredible support from the Inver Grove Heights School District, a total of 3,046 books were collected. 📚

In the coming weeks, those books will be delivered to Children’s Hospital and placed into the hands of kids who could use a little escape, a little adventure, and a reason to smile.

Thank you for rallying behind Lyla’s Library, Hometown Meats, and this mission. Sometimes making a difference doesn’t require grand gestures. Sometimes it’s as simple as a book, a story, and a community that cares.

From the bottom of our hearts… thank you.
