Top 10 in the Q2 Crème d’Argent newsletter in open points! Congratulations to our good friends Hopson's Rabbitry of Central (Tom Nelson) for being 3rd! Courtney Arellano comes in at 15th! Congratulations Florida Crème breeders! Good things are happening in the Florida Cremes!

Great news today as the Creme D' Argent newsletter was sent out. The updated sweepstakes were published and we were in the top 5 nationally. Our good Florida friends Wensleydale Farms Warren & Colton Warriner were also top 10. As well as everyone's favorite coffee girl, Courtney Arellano was in the top 15 as well. So nice to see the Florida Creme crew being recognized for the beautiful Creme's we have to offer to people here.

We have some new additions that are needing annoucement. At the Deland, FL show we were able to acquire a new Creme d'Argent Sr. buck, who will help our herd immensely, and 2 Argent Brun jr. bucks to grow out for fall breedings to our 3 Brun does. Hopson's Rabbitry of Central Florida Thank you!

Evaluated all three litters this weekend. Ended up tattooing 5 as keepers/grow out longer and re-evaluate. The other 13 didn't pass, either have pinched hips (most of them) or were too long in the shoulder. The 5 I kept all don't have pinched hips. Need to check my brood does to make sure they don't have pinched hips 🤞 it was just a bad pairing and they aren't pinched as that would send them straight to freezer camp in my barn. Hopefully These 5 will all meet minimum weight requirement by the July Inverness show.

I will be evaluating Glitter’s litter this weekend. They will be just 10 wks old but definitely a good time to w**d out the not keepers from the keepers and the wait and sees. The keepers and wait and see will get tattooed with numbers and the culls will get tattooed with “cull” to differentiate them in the future.

Then the two keeper groups will be either listed for sale or kept to replace mom/dad

Tattooed the two bucks born in February tonight and did some quick evaluations of the last litter from my un-named doe, goes by 004(her tattoo number), litter of 7; 4 does 3 bucks. Nice to be doe heavy in total of the 3 younger litters. Looks to be some good does and maybe a good buck or two in 004’s litter but they are only 5 weeks old so only time will truly tell.

Did some quick evaluations of 2 of the three litters out in the Warren tonight. Sunshine’s litter of 5 (5 weeks old); 4 does and 1 buck, Glitter’s litter of 6 (8 weeks old); 3 does and 3 bucks. Didn’t get many pictures but this is one of the does from Sunshine’s litter, not the best picture she was fighting me too. But good to start posing them early

Evaluated the two February bucks today. Shirley’s buck has earned himself a name, ‘Benji’. By the time I was trying to take posed pictures he decided to fight me so not the best picture but believe me he posed wonderfully for the evaluation. The other buck is needing another evaluation plus comments from a judge before I decide if he’s a keeper/seller or bound for freezer camp.
