Rozlin took a few minutes to work with Andy, now just about 5 months old.... He is turning out very promising. We want to continue to handle him so he is a sweet buck and not a jerk 🤣

Triplets for my Poppy girl!!!
Poppy was pushing when Roz and Liam got home from school today. Rozlin kept me posted and once we got over the half hour zone without progress I knew I needed to get home to the barn. Thankfully my place of employment is very aware how much my farm means to me and I was able to leave to assist Poppy.
I pulled the first doeling as she just was not progressing down the birth canal. Poppy perked up after I assisted and began working on getting her kid cleaned up. She then was able to deliver her second doeling unassisted. As she began cleaning up both her girls, she started contracting again and a third was on the way..... Her flashy buckling presented butt first and I immediately took action trying to reposition him (this is a horrible position for delivery)..... I knew we were in trouble when Poppy laid flat out on her side and began to give up, groaning in exhaustion. I was able to hook my fingers on one of his back legs and pull him free. It was traumatic for both and I was very worried about Poppy and the buckling, but everyone does appear to be doing well now and I am so very thankful for that! These triplets are purebred Lamancha and if all goes well, the doelings may be on my keeper list and her buckling just may need to remain a buckling with his milk lines and flashy appearance! 😏....
We wrap up our 2026 kidding season with 3 bucklings and 2 doelings!!!

Twin bucklings for our Liberty - momma did this all on her own while we were at work/school. She is a rockstar!!! They're so stinking CUTE!!!!!

Poppy and Liberty are officially on baby watch - both huge, sassy, and looking very ready to evict some kids! My guess: Poppy gives us twins, Liberty surprises us with triplets. Place your bets on bucklings vs doelings, now!

Liam's market goats have arrived!!! They're a week old, so the Nubians have a few weeks on them. Everest and Andy are showing them all about the goodness of hay!

Andy is home!!! What a TRIP!!!! The furthest I've traveled for a goat award goes to our future herdsire..... Andy and Everest are becoming fast pals 🥹

Because why wouldn't we brave winter weather to pick up a doeling to be our buckling's friend?! Road trip 2 tomorrow to pick him up - tonight we spoil and love on little Everest, Rozlin's new show goat 🥹

We've had a lot of change in our goat herd this year... Not necessarily all "bad", but enough to change the whole picture... We lost our very first buck, Glen. A buck we loved to the ends of the Earth and back... He stunk to high Heaven, but he was funny, calm and so sweet. Now we are looking at bringing this tiny boy home. A bottle kid with beautiful lineage... One thing we love about bottle babies (Glen was a bottle baby, too) is that they just LOVE people... We will see what the future holds, but right now.... This little guy may be coming to the Campbell Ranch and I'm excited for the first time in a while about our Nubian herd.

Our trailer may be out of commission, but we always find a way to get our goats where we need to be - even if it means they are riding in the back like dogs 🤣♥️♥️
