This week we said "you are the best boy" for the final time to our guy, Murphy. 💔 Most everyone who has visited our farm in the last thirteen years has had the chance to scratch his belly or look into his beautiful brown eyes. He was usually a bit timid, but forever wagging. Murphy did not meet a person or piece of cheese that he did not like.. If you wanted to take a hike, he was ready. Want to chase geese out of the pond? Let's go! He was by my side for all of it- happy and sad- for over a decade. I will miss his Grinchy feet, hopeful expression and gentle licks. He truly was the *BEST DOG* and so very loved. Rest easy, Murph. 🌈

October 1st marks the beginning of the GREAT WALNUT REDEMPTION 🛻🪏We have been nut weaseling ™️with a vengeance for the last month, pouring endless bucketfuls into the Chevy. Today we hauled them over to Frytown to be processed and sent to Missouri. They get scooped into the hopper, ride up the elevator, and the hulls are separated from the nuts. The hulls go out into a pile on the ground and the nuts are bagged and weighed. All of this fun for 14 cents a pound!! 😂 If you want to make a guess on the weight of today’s redemption, drop it below. I will reward the person with the closest guess with something FANTASTIC!

WE HAVE A WINNER!!
The check was for $99.96 - a total of 714 #!
Susan K is the winner 🏆 Some of you were pretty close - and some of you not so much! 🤣

We had a great run with our Farm to Table breakfast series ✨ Thank you to the many folks that came by and help us build community around local food! If you were an attendee, I invite you to take a few minutes and complete the survey. It will help us with decision making for 2027.

With appreciation,
Susan and the crew
