Kurthcakes We make and share cupcakes and other delicious treats! My goal is to make each treat 100% edible and and 100% delicious.

Based in Iowa City, IA I bake special order cakes, cupcakes, and other sweets for birthday parties, retirement parties, graduation parties, bar mitzvahs, weddings, Quinceañera and other events. I love to come up with creative new designs, so if you have a logo or theme, I'd love to help make it edible.

When I teach people how to make macarons, I always advise against making them when it's humid. "Anything above 60% is tricky, anything over 70%, just forget it."

The only thing my son wants for his birthday tomorrow is macarons. So, despite the 95% humidity, I'm trying it. Fingers crossed.
