The first cow/calf pair we have available will be Chase N Checks and her bull calf out of CR Damascus. CNC is by WF Checkers, 7/8 brother to Cowboy Casanova, and out of the Johnny Wilson branded cow Kaylee. CR Damascus is one of the very few true black bulls over 80” t2t in the industry right now. Her bull calf was born on 9/12/22 and has the potential to be something special as a herd sire or a futurity prospect. Damascus came in clutch again with yet another true black heifer and out of a maternal half sister to CV Cowboy Casanova and LAR Smoke’N. Dusty Girl is by Totem Pole who is a 7/8 brother to Top Caliber and Sittin Bull and out of the knockout producing Smoky Roan cow. This heifer calf is bred to the hilt with some of the best Owen McGill cattle running through her veins. Another heifer with a bright future ahead of her.

Now if we can just get some of this much needed rain that’s forecasted, we’ll be doing all the good. 🤞🏼

Not to be outdone by her dam, Yatzee, Pay Check just delivered a true black HEIFER baby by our true black partnership bull with RW Longhorns, CR Damascus! Pay Check is by WF Checkers who is a 7/8 brother to Cowboy Casanova and out of the well known Owen McGill cow, Whiz.

Now 10 calves into our calving season and Damascus is still producing 80% black!! Now if we could just get some rain…

I’m not a bull guy by any means, but I’m honestly excited for this brand spankin’ new bull calf by our over 80” true black bull Damascus and out of our herd matriarch, Yatzee. Yatzee is a huge bodied cow by the one and only Cowboy Chex and out of the over 80” Owen McGill cow, Sprinkles 47. This new bull has all the potential in the world to be a great one and if he lives up to it, he’ll get to go to work for us in the future.

About halfway through this years calving season, CR Damascus is still averaging 80% black calves.

Sometimes, if you hold your mouth juuuust right, a plan comes together better than you could have ever hoped. This true black HEIFER baby literally just hit the ground and to say we’re excited would be a monumental understatement. Her dam, Suzy Van Horne, is a true black daughter of Sittin Bull and out of the one and only true black cow Texana Van Horne, who measures over 91” t2t. Suzy last measured in at 78.5” t2t, but I have no doubt she’d be in true black club 80 today, if we stuck a tape on her. The sire to this little heifer is our partnership bull with RW Longhorns, CR Damascus. Damascus is also a club 80 true black bull by the homozygous black bull Saddlehorn and out of a brindle spotted Top Caliber daughter.

All the chrome and potential in a heifer that a guy could ask for. 🍻
