The Superteam at The Baldwin Bar, The Baldwin & Sons Trading Company, Blossom Bar, Birds Of Paradise, and Ivory Pearl have flat out changed the cocktail game in Greater Boston and beyond. Ivory Pearl pairs next level drinks with a delicious seafood focused menu that includes Sunday brunch and late night specials. The original Deep Ellum in Allston was a trailblazer by combining craft beer, quality cocktails, and classy food with cozy, neighborhood vibes. Their closure in 2020 made their rebirth in Waltham this year that much sweeter. Thanks, Thrillist! “Way back in the days of yore, Boston was quite the little hotspot for rum. Since the sugary liquor goes so well with regional favorites like seafood, Legal Sea Foods decided to launch a special collaboration with Privateer Rum, who age their "rums in the Maritime climate of New England where seasons naturally expand and contract [the] barrels." This rum is pure-never sweetened up and never filtered. Legal is now offering a special Privateer Hemingway Daiquiri, blending grapefruit and lime with Privateer's New England Reserve Rum, which is bright and as fresh as their famed seafood.”

USBG Boston Day at Privateer Rum Distillery!

Come meet up at the distillery in Ipswich on Monday October 23rd at 11:30 (until 1:30 or 2pm).
The day will consist of a history of the distillery and visiting the production area to discuss ingredients, fermentation, and distillation. Next, a tour of the barrel cellar to dive into aging and what makes aging in New England unique followed by some time in the tasting room as well as lunch.

Event is open to USBG members and folks curious about the guild.

The distillery requests a head count by Friday the 21st so RSVP today!
