What a weekend! The 2nd Annual King of the Farm contest at Mission Farm included 33 tough teams battling out to see who would leave with the crown. Starting with the cooks meeting, there were giveaways from TheBBQSuperstore.com, Outlaw BBQ Smokers and GrillBillies BBQ! Later that night, there was a potluck including 35 lbs of crawfish boil as well as tasty contributions from the teams - folks are still raving about the food! And then after a fun awards ceremony, there was a pizza party for the teams staying over Sat. night. Huge thanks to Lee and Jenny Shank for allowing us to use their beautiful property for the contest and to Rusty and Julie Cook for doing a great job as KCBS reps. Congrats to all the teams who heard their names called! The first place pics are included below. After such a fun weekend, we can’t wait until next year’s contest! Will be held the same weekend in 2024 - details will be provided!
