The first pumpkins of the season are here!
We couldn’t wait any longer… our first pumpkins are ready! 🎃

Just a small first picking for now, but it’s officially starting to feel like fall!!

And while we’re putting pumpkins out, we also have something a little different at the stand…
🍎 Our homegrown seedling apples!
These aren’t a commercial variety—each tree is a little different, so you’ll find all kinds of flavors, sizes and colors. They’re organically grown and picked right here at the farm.
We’ll be putting both pumpkins and apples out at the North Eden Farm roadside stand as they become available.

Pumpkins are just getting started… there are LOTS more coming! 🎃🎃🎃

NORTH EDEN FARM OFF-SEASON FARM TOUR!
We’re opening the farm up this Saturday, August 29th from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM!
Come out and see what’s happening at North Eden Farm between harvest seasons.

We’ll be walking through the You-Pick strawberry field, checking out our pumpkins as they continue to grow, seeing part of our composting operation, and sharing some of the behind-the-scenes work that goes into growing your food.

🍓 Strawberries are finished for the season.
🎃 Pumpkins are coming along!

Cover crops are in!🌾
And there’s always something happening on the farm.

No charge to attend. ❤️ Voluntary donations are welcome to help support the farm.

Hi from North Eden Farm!!

Would anyone be interested in an off-season farm tour at North Eden Farm?
The strawberries and blueberries are finished, but the pumpkins are coming along, and there’s still plenty happening around the farm! 🎃🍓

We’re thinking about doing a small tour to show you the pumpkin field, strawberry field, compost operation, and some of the behind-the-scenes work that happens between harvests.
Does anyone want us to schedule a farm tour?
If we do one, would you prefer:
A weekday evening?
Saturday morning?

The Bible says:
“For dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.”
— Genesis 3:19
That verse has always struck me as a reminder of how connected we are to the ground beneath our feet. We come from the earth, we are nourished by what comes from it, and eventually we return to it.

So if we want to grow food that can truly nourish our families, shouldn't we take care of the soil that grows it?
That’s one of the reasons we farm the way we do.

Good morning fromNorth Eden Farm folks!! Another gorgeous day in da UP ! 🤩

Some days it feels like endless cultivating… but weeds are a little slower this year with the drought. We are shallowly cultivating for weeds, but mostly to keep the strawberry runners in the rows and paths open.😎. The loose top soil then actually helps to act as a mulch and keep water from evaporating from the lower soil profile, strawberries are fairly deep rooted and can reach in and pull that up.

We got a little bit of rain last night here!! 💧

Very helpful ,even just a little rain, as we are planting winter cover crops this week!

We broadcast seed, lightly harrow it ,then use a cultipacker to help seed to soil contact, especially important now with this super dry weather. While we pack we pick as many rocks as we can. That’s the older boys on front of tractor picking them as we go! Younger boys get to ride with dad 🥰😎

🎃 IT'S COMING! 🎃
We’ve been working hard all summer, and the pumpkins are growing!

Our Coming Soon sign is officially up at the North Eden Farm roadside stand and on the corner of Lake and US2 in front of The Real Estate Store! 🌱🎃

We have acres of pumpkins growing this year, with lots of different sizes and varieties to come this fall!
We’re excited to share another season of locally grown food with our community. ❤️
