We are excited to partner with to bring their Single Barrel, Honey Barrel Bourbon to Ironwood! This limited release bourbon was finished in a barrel that was previously used to barrel age Detroit honey. This gives it a sweet and floral nose. A sprinkle of water brings out toasty caramel notes with a smooth, long honeyed finish. We love this so much that we put our logo on it! This is an exclusive to the Western U.P. Stop by, have a dram and take home a bottle for yourself!

We are ready for the weekend! A few weeks back, Darrin had the opportunity to try some delicious and inspired Michigan wines at an industry trade show. (I know, tough job.) We are excited to bring in several of these to share with you!

This week's flight will charm you into loving Michigan wine.

We start off with the Le Caban Riesling from . This Riesling is on the dryer side with a good balance between the acidity and residual sugars. It has those classic warmer weather Risling notes of peach and other stone fruits, some citrus and an ever so slight effervescence, perfect for sipping on the patio all summer.

From we are now stocking two impressive wines.

Their Marland Sauvignon Blanc/Semillon is a textbook Bordeaux Blanc blend. This wine has all of those citrus notes of Sauvignon Blanc with a touch of peach and honey from the Semillon. This is another wine for outdoor sipping and will pare with about any summer dish you make.

Finally, we have the Marland Rosé of Cabernet Franc. This is not you "shrinking violet" rosé. This full-bodied rosé has bold red berry flavors with lovely notes of rose petals. We are adding this wine to our by-the-glass menu for the summer. It's a lovely accompaniment to any of our charcuterie boards.

First, we want to acknowledge the importance of the holiday coming up. We honor those that gave the full last measure for this country. The sacrifice that they made can never be repaid.

We have flights (of Darrin's Fancy) for the holiday weekend.

Our white wine flight is made up of three lovely summer sipping wines: Dao's Paseo Robles Chardonnay, Pine Ridge's Chenin Blanc- Viognier and Archery Summit's Willamette Valley Pinot Gris.

The red flight is a trip around the world flight: Beronia's Rioja Tempranillo, Trivento's Golden Reserve Mendoza Malbac and St Francis's Sonoma Old Vine Zinfandel.

We will be open extended hour over the holiday weekend:
Saturday 2pm-10pm
Sunday 1pm-6pm

We also have wines and snacks to go if you are cooking out or have a picnic this weekend!

Join us this First Friday of May! Even though the weather isn't feeling like spring, we are celebrating spring anyway with spring inspired wine flights!

Let's start with a lovely crisp white blend from Portugal, Sebastião Lisa Bona. This blend of the indigenous grapes, Fernão Pires and Moscatel Graúdo, is light, floral with a little spiciness on the palate.

Next, we have a bright Sauvignon Blanc from the south of France. Comtesse Marion brings those classic Sauv Blanc flavors with a little more body from the Mediterranean sun.

Finally, we wrap up the wine white wine flight with the Val Delle Rose Vermentino from Tuscany. This white is bright and fruity with peach, grapefruit peel and almond flavors.

For reds, we start off with a Cabernet Franc from the Loire Valley France. This Chinon has delicate notes of cherries and violets with a touch of forest floor.

Our Hoppenot Beaujolais displays elegant notes of raspberry, cherry and dried rose. It is well-structured on the palate with bright red fruit flavors, lifted acidity and polished tannins.

We finish with a favorite of ours, The Four Graces Oregon Pinot Noir. It shows delicately layered raspberry and cherry flavors that take on toasty spice and orange peel accents as it glides on the polished finish.
