For families with children receiving medical treatment, having a place to stay close to their loved ones can make a difficult time a little easier. ❤️ 🏠 Golden State Foods is grateful for its longstanding partnership with Ronald McDonald House and its local Chapters, whose work provides families with a home away from home when they need it most. As we recognize the anniversary of the very first Ronald McDonald House, we're reminded of the importance of supporting this mission and the families it serves.

Through the GSF Foundation, our associates contributed more than 570 volunteer hours last year, supporting 12 Ronald McDonald House Chapters nationwide.

Today, we're shining a light on Abhi Kothakota, a GSF associate, and his wife, Tanita, who ran the Chicago Marathon this past weekend as part of Team Ronald McDonald House. 🏃🏃‍♀️

He shared ahead of the race: "Knowing that our miles and fundraising can help make a difficult time a little easier for these families makes every early morning run, long training session, and tired mile worth it."

Congratulations to Abhi and Tanita for finishing and fundraising for families in need!

GSF released its 2025 Impact Report, highlighting continued progress across three core priorities:
🧡 People & Communities

Some highlights: associates logged more than 13,800 volunteer hours (up 10% from last year), GSF earned validation of its greenhouse gas reduction targets, and product teams helped launch 50 new products in 2025.

So far in 2026, GSF's Protein Products operations have diverted 94% of waste from landfills and cut water and power usage by 26%. 🌎

In the September issue of Meatingplace, GSF's Sustainability Director PJ Newcomb and Group VP of Operations, Protein Products Nathan Murphy share how our Protein Products teams keep finding practical ways to cut waste and conserve resources. Newcomb says the team tackles the easiest, most affordable wins first, while Murphy keeps it simple too: double-check everything's powered down before you leave.

GSF is also investing in the resilience of the beef value chain, supporting healthy grasslands and cattle herds through the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation‘s Grassland Resilience and Conservation Initiative.
