We have a 5 yr old Hereford sow that lives on 13 acres of pasture and woods - currently stuffing herself with acorns and persimmons, plus being fed Peterson organic no-soy hog feed. She would be available if someone would like to have her for pork. She has failed to get pregnant this year and our own freezers are full!

We still have some whole, frozen chickens available! One more week and we will start harvesting turkeys.

We still have a few B*W turkeys for Thanksgiving! These free range during the day to forage on unsprayed, untreated pastures, and are supplemented in their secure coop with Peterson organic, no corn/soy feed. We DO plan on raising more for year-round availability. We also raise Muscovy duck, and are considering adding Pekin duck to the farm. Please let us know if you would be interested in Pekin duck! Next year we hope to offer goose as well.

The first batch of B*W turkeys are adjusting well to being outside, and should be ready for going out on pasture in another week or two. The home-hatched Ameraucana and Bielefelder chicks are 7 weeks old and adjusting well to free-ranging with the rest of the flock. New additions are Blue Slate turkeys, some jumbo Cornish Cross for meat, and some goslings! We got 8 Toulouse and 2 Embden to compare growth. We are hoping to hold back a few Toulouse for breeding, but should have a few geese processed and ready for holiday dinners! We also have a bunch of French White Muscovy eggs in the incubator, and several of the hens are setting eggs on their own. ALL of the birds are on organic, no-corn, no-soy feed from Peterson Organic Feeds. We plan to have goose, Muscovy duck (lean red meat), chicken, broad-breasted turkey, and heritage turkey

Getting ready to start weaning piglets! They have a creep feed pen where they have free choice organic cracked corn, plus every morning I make them a large pot of cooked lentils, white wheat berries, oats, and polenta (all organic) with some whole milk or whey (depending on what i have available), plus a bit of Thorvin kelp.
