Cortland apples are finally off the trees , ready to be bagged - and they’re beauties!

A few bags will be in the Farm Stand Thursday and Friday. We’re closing the Stand for the season on Saturday (this time for real) 😉

Last chance for apples right off the trees; first come first served. Open Thursday and Friday, Oct. 16 and 17 at 686 Sherman Street, Island Falls from 9-5.

Last call for Cortland apples from the Farm Stand! Picked yesterday on a chilly blustery afternoon to beat this morning’s frosty temps - as fresh and crisp as you can get!

Closing at 5 for the season - a longer one than usual and, all things considered, a good one!

It’s definitely an “inside” day at the farm Stand on this thankfully rainy morning! Lots of Cortlands to choose from (and we’ll keep adding more) - they’re too large for the bags so use both hands when carrying!!

Open today through Friday @ 686 Sherman Street, Island Falls from 9-5. Come get them while they’re available!!

Apple Update:

Cortland !!! : The “everything” apple: hard and crisp for snacking; flesh remains white after being cut, making it great in salads; exceptional pie and crisp apple and my “go-to” for Apple Pie in a Jar, an easy shortcut for winter desserts.

The Farm Stand is officially closed, but the 1/2 peck bags (~5 #) of Cortlands will be outside on the green stand @ $5/bag as long as they last. With these warm temps, we have not yet picked all the Cortland trees, keeping them ready for fresh picking and bagging as long as possible.

The apple flag is still flying @ 686 Sherman Street, Island Falls; apples will be on the green stand during our usual hours of 9-5. Please bring small bills, as change will not be available in the cash box. Thanks!

The last batches of sweet cider and crisp pizzelles will be in the Stand at 9 this morning, along with bags of Cortland, Red Delicious and Honeycrisp apples sitting on their stands outside. After tomorrow (Sunday, September 28), Cortlands will still be available but the Stand will be closed.

Another beauty of a fall weekend coming up - take a leaf-peeping ride and stop here to enjoy our Katahdin view and farm-fresh fruit. The Stand is open for today and tomorrow, apples for the coming week @ 686 Sherman Street, Island Falls; open from 9-5.

Thursday, 9/25: Time to start winding down:

Saturday and Sunday will be our final weekend of the season for cider and pizzelles, our Italian cookies (or as long as they last). The Stand will remain open next week for those of you looking for Cortland and Honeycrisp apples. The Honeycrisp is a limited supply, so come get them while we have them!

We’re still open every day from 9-5 @ 686 Sherman Street, Island Falls.

Cortland ($5/bag), Honeycrisp ($6/bag)and Red Delicious ($4/bag) apples are still being picked and on the Stand along with plenty of pizzelles and a new batch of sweet cider.

Cortland are still available in bulk @ $25/bushel (42 #)- just message or call 463-2851 and leave a voicemail - we’ll get back to you asap to set a day/time for pickup.

When we open at 9:00 this fine frosty morning you’ll have your choice of anise, chocolate or vanilla pizzelles (pronounced pit-SELLS), an all-apple sweet cider blend of Duchess, Cortland, McIntosh and a few others added to the mix, plus a selection of apples priced from $4-$6/bag depending on variety.

McIntosh and Duchess are almost gone, but we have lots of Cortland and Honeycrisp still to be picked.

Yes, the corn is sold out for the season, but we’ll remain open daily from 9-5 @ 686 Sherman Street, Island Falls to offer you the best fruit and produce that we grow. Please try to bring small bills as we are often busy picking apples these days and not available to make change.

*** UPDATE ***. Cider is sold out already this morning; another batch has been made, will hopefully be cool enough by noon to put it in the cooler in the Stand …

Corn is finally and most definitely sold out for the season, but we are now picking Honeycrisp apples. Look at these softball-size beauties! Available in tote bags @ $6 each or as singles @ 75 cents each.

Apple season is in full swing with Duchess, Wealthy, McIntosh, Red Delicious and crabapples @ $4/bag and Cortland @ $5/bag or singles @ 50 cents each. Now, with Honeycrisp added to the mix @ $6/bag, there’s something for everyone.

Cider is again on the Stand this morning, more pizzelles coming Saturday.
