This weekend, we're privileged to welcome Dominique Barbier to Deerfield Farm for several days of learning, horsemanship, and deeper connection with our horses.

October 14-18, Preston, WA

You don’t have to ride in the clinic to be part of the experience! Auditing is a wonderful opportunity to watch Dominique work with horses and riders up close, listen to his instruction, ask questions, and learn alongside other horsemen and women. Whether you’re a rider, trainer, or simply someone who wants to better understand horses, there is so much to take away from watching a master at work.

✨ Auditing spots are available for the weekend! Full-day auditors will also enjoy lunch and refreshments.

Email us at [email protected] for auditing details and to reserve your spot.

FRIDAY NIGHT COMMUNITY LECTURE WITH DOMINIQUE BARBIER
October 16th - 5-8 pm
Deerfield Farm, Preston, WA

We’re excited to invite horse lovers and equestrians from our local community to join us Friday evening during the Dominique Barbier Clinic for a special lecture and evening of connection.

Dominique Barbier will share his thoughts on great training, the horse-human connection, and what our relationships with horses can teach us about…well, life. His approach goes far beyond technique, and we’re looking forward to an evening of thoughtful conversation, learning, and plenty of stories from a lifetime spent with horses.

We’d love to bring together people from all corners of the horse community—different disciplines, different experiences, and different backgrounds—all connected by a shared love of horses and a desire to keep learning.

We’ll enjoy a homemade chili dinner with vegetarian options, but the real evening is about good horses, good conversation, and good people.

🎟️ Tickets: $80

Come join us, meet fellow horse people, listen to Dominique, ask questions, and be part of the conversation.

All are welcome. We’d love to connect with you!

What Does It Mean to Be an Auditor?

You don’t have to be riding in the clinic to be part of the learning.

At the upcoming clinic with Dominique Barbier, you won't be sitting on the sidelines watching someone else take a lesson. You will be learning alongside them.

Throughout each horse/rider lesson, you’ll have the opportunity to:

- Listen closely to the instruction and learn from the conversation between Dominique and the rider.
- Ask questions and participate in the discussion.
- Learn alongside other auditors who are equally curious and passionate about developing their horsemanship.
- Take what you learn back to your own horse and your own riding.

One of the most valuable parts of auditing is that you get to hear the why behind the work. You can watch a concept being introduced, see how the horse and rider respond, and then watch the conversation and lesson evolve in real time.

For full-day auditors, your experience also includes lunch and refreshments.

Whether you ride Western, English, dressage, or simply want to better understand the horse in front of you, come curious. Come ready to listen. Come ready to learn.

✨ LIGHTNESS IN THE WESTERN HORSE ✨
October 14–18 | Deerfield Farm Equestrian

We are thrilled to welcome back Dominique Barbier, world-renowned dressage master, published author, and teacher, for an immersive clinic exploring the connection between horse and rider.

This is more than a riding clinic. Dominique’s work invites us to look deeper—to develop lightness, harmony, awareness, and a more meaningful conversation with the horse.

Throughout the clinic, auditors will have the opportunity to learn through educational and interactive lectures, observation of one-on-one riding lessons, and direct exploration of Dominique’s approach to horsemanship.

Whether you are an experienced equestrian or simply passionate about understanding horses more deeply, this is a rare opportunity to spend time learning from one of the great masters of our discipline.
