Social media tends to hit the highlights, but before the highlights is the work it took to get there. It’s rained every week on this cotton since it was planted it, so the weeds were plentiful. Well, not anymore they aren’t!

🛍️ Shopping Sunday 🌱

We talk a lot about cotton clothing, but cotton is all over our homes too!

This week I found:
🛁 A towel set from Target
☀️ Decorative hand towels from Anthropologie
🌊Beach towels from Walmart

I don’t know about y’all, but I use towels every day and I don’t usually stop to think about where they come from or what they’re made of.

Cotton is soft, absorbent, durable, and it’s made from a plant grown by farm families like ours, not man made plastic. It’s neat to think that something we grow can end up in homes all over the country.

Take a peek in your closet this week and check the tags on your towels. You might be surprised by how much cotton you already have around your home!

🛍️ Shopping Sunday: Cotton on a Budget 👕🌱

Somewhere along the way, we started believing that buying cotton meant spending more money. Truth is, that’s not always the case.

You can find 100% cotton clothes for the same price , sometimes even cheaper, than clothes made with synthetic fibers. It may just mean taking an extra second to check the tag while you’re shopping.

As cotton farmers, obviously we’re a little biased, but cotton is a natural fiber while many synthetic fabrics are made from petroleum-based materials. If you have the option to choose cotton without spending more, why not?

This Shopping Sunday, take a look at the labels. You might be surprised at how many affordable cotton options are out there. Choosing cotton doesn’t have to break the budget.
