Happy World Cotton Day! šŸ¤šŸŒ±

From a tiny seed to the clothes we wear and so much more, cotton is pretty incredible.

As always, thinking outside the box, we bought a Kelley Manufacturing Co. (KMC) Stalk Shredder Puller to run after the pickers.
We are very impressed with the results where itā€™s been running. There might a stalk or 2 thatā€™ll have just a small root attached, but the stalk is going to die.
This is saving us a sprayer pass and we couldnā€™t be happier so far!

See all those spinning pieces?
Those are the spindles that rotate, and the barbs grab the cotton off the plant.
There are 6 rows of those constantly spinning and grabbing!

"Is it true that sugar is white because it's bleached to look that way?" šŸ˜±

It's a common misconception that sugar is "made white" using bleach and other chemicals during processing ā€” but that's just not true! When sugar is extracted from sugarbeets, all fiber, molasses, and other naturally occurring compounds are spun off to leave behind pure sucrose. And thanks to Mother Nature, sucrose is naturally white. No bleach or chemical agents needed to make it that way.

Grass fed shrimp! Only $50!
šŸ¤£ I am at Farm Aid. Itā€™s alright. I love supporting farmers of all shapes and sizes and labels. Localā€¦smallā€¦ all that jazz. But Farm Aid spreads a ton of misinformation against ā€œindustrialā€ ag.

What does that mean?? ā€œIndustrialā€ ag. ā€œBigā€ ag. ā€œFactoryā€ farms.

Large scale agriculture is the reason we are alive. Of course - farmers need to be treated more fairly, fair prices and fair treatmentā€¦. Iā€™ll preach that ALL DAY. ā€œBig agā€ does not come without its warranted criticism.

But Iā€™m not a fan of misinformation and bad marketing.

Grass fed shrimp is something I coined. Because I bet I could convince anyone to buy it without knowledge of how food is ACTUALLY PRODUCED. Which is what I try to do every single day.

Support farmers! But donā€™t take advantage of people, either.

A healthy food supply is important. Arguably, so is tequila. Some of the healthy eating crowd loves alcohol and w**d. So here we go!! šŸ˜†šŸ˜‚
