PRODUCTION IS BACK for now. KEFIR will be there by the half-gallon as will our goat milk. We again have our cream cheese alternative, Chevre (or soft goat cheese). Make sure to come out and see us at the Broome County Regional Farmers Market this Saturday, February 14 from 9am to 1pm.

Thanks to heavy lake effect snow this morning, we will not be at the Broome County Regional Farmers Market. We will be back next Saturday with KEFIR.

Today Prissy and Sassy will help me learn about AI at the Cornell Sheep & Goat Symposium! Their donor is named “Pyro”… if the procedure is successful, we will have Purebred Alpine babies on April 1! Why? First because i love learning… second, Prissy is my best produducer with the longest lactation. I’d like more like her…

Making our famous and award winning caramel candy for Cornell’s Sheep & Goat Symposium next weekend! I’ll be teaching two sessions of caramel making. Blending my two favorite things…. Goats and teaching. Hope to see you there!

Our products did so well at the American Dairy Goat Association's National Conference. There were over 40 cheese entries from all over the Northeast, including some of the finest artisan cheese makers. The judges included Margaret Morris, famous cheese maker from Canada... I was so pleased!! Our Feta placed FIRST! Our herbs deProvince chevre, placed THIRD! But she raved, I mean RAVED about our Kefir. She said that she is a kefir snob - has had it from every species and the finest from other countries and she said ours is the very best she ever had. While we didn't come home with any prize money I am absolutely THRILLED with our accolades. Now if I can keep the girls producing through the fall season, I will be able to keep making our delicious products.
