Yes I’m back here again …Ok … with a whole bunch of new followers and getting real close to 15,000…. If ya haven’t been to the new / old and better than ever Maru then you’re missing out on some of the best Asian food in town !! Not only the best damn ramen but an array of other dishes as well …all overseen by the nicest women in the restaurant business … Lee .. With this place on my favs rotation I’ve also re adopted Lee as my Korean mother … everyone could use a Korean mother … seriously !! Now open seven days a week from 11:30 -9 serving up the best Japanese and Korean dishes. They may also be incorporating some dish’s from their former place , Yori House and also Ole Ole … as customers are asking. Spicy pork pls ??? Today I ordered the spicy chicken buns …. Tender chicken w a hint of a kick and spicy seafood ramen. Both can be adjusted to your level of spice , wimp ( me ) to burn your throat.. And both were absolutely delicious as is everything here ! I also tried the shrimp tempura rolls which were tasty little treats and got the sweet n sour chicken Don ( over rice ) to go, but of course I had a little taste before dinner … Yum !! Portions are large and the prices friendly ! While parking can be a challenge , why not park on one of the side streets and walk a little bit ? You could say a burger is simple … or in this case … Smpl burger … the newest smash burger place downtown. So many of you messaged me about this place … I do listen to y’all . These guys … not quite five( pun intended ) but …four owners had a plan to do one thing and do it right . I’d say they have succeeded big time !! Smpl burgers ( located in the old CDMX space ) are lighting this little alley on fire !! One of the owners , John told me they Started in college town as a pop up , then a food truck and now a permanent space. Menu is very simple… smash burger and fries. I went w a triple minus the pickle. Burgers are served w a special sauce which was totally awesome on the burger !! Shoestring fries to go w it and this was one happy and very full Dude !! Super awesome and super messy ! But a good messy .. Def worth your attention if you’re looking for a great burger !! Check out their website or IG for more info. I woke up from a little afternoon snooze and was craving salad ( pretty much unheard of ) and pizza … I only know of one place w a killer salad bar with around some fifty items … Three soups , all kinds of greens , veggies galore , meats , assorted salads and yeah them knots ! I thought the pizza was on the salad bar as well , but that’s just at lunch time. So we ordered a plain pizza. Super yummy and super thin … unlike a certain Dude … Lol. This is definitely what I was craving and a couple of Killah mixed drinks… Margarita for Mrs and a blood orange martini for myself. Our server Aleeya was a sweetheart as always ! Don’t know many places where you could get dinner for two around 30 bucks. Their salad bar def would !! Ciao ….
