I was waiting for the last baby to finish hatching so I decided to get them set up outside and Devin comes out to tell me that Waylon got into the incubator 😵‍💫……. Long story short we have 5/6. Still a really good hatch!

Unfortunately a couple of weeks ago 4 of my ducks were hit on the road, one being my one and only drake. So i decided even though I’ve never hatched duck eggs I was going to try it!
Looks like little feet kicking in there! ❤️

2nd one to hatch!
This one is going to be named Patience because I’ve been watching this one trying to hatch all day long. 😵‍💫
I have been so tempted to open the incubator and help but I noticed I had a few other eggs that were pipped and didn’t want to risk it.

I am so mad at myself because I had this feeling that I needed to do something different with my small chicks….
Well when I went out to check on everyone this morning all of them were dead. Luckily all of my ducks and the rest of my chickens are fine.
Whatever managed to get in there and kill them will get a taste of metal if it decides to come back….

On a real note , I’m exhausted and it was a long day but I’m glad it’s done. Plus, we have food in the freezer!
We love all of the chickens but 9 roosters is too many!
