I am a sixth generation farmer and a 2025 University of Illinois Crop Sciences graduate. I have a passion for all things agriculture (particularly growing pumpkins ;)) and spreading joy in my community. I take pride in being a young woman at the face of the agricultural industry farming land that’s been in my family since the 1870s. This pumpkin patch came about from my FFA Supervised Agricultural
Experience project I started in the eighth grade thanks to the encouragement of my dad, Bill. During my time in FFA, I was named the State Proficiency Award Winner in the area of Vegetable Production in 2021, and I was awarded my American FFA Degree, the highest degree achievable, in 2022. I strive to be involved in our community by attending local fall events and setting up displays, spreading the joy of fall wherever I go! Country Bumpkin Pumpkins became the go-to name as I am a simple, diligent, rustic girl who fell in love with pumpkin production. Throughout my years, I have sold from roadside stands and my family farm, as well as set up custom displays. I am currently focused on selling from the family farm and occasionally setting up at local markets. I also LOVE setting up custom displays for my surrounding communities! I work my rear off to grow the 135 varieties of pumpkins, gourds, and squash sold on the family farm this year - and I take pride in that. The pumpkin patch stands for living a joyful life full of love for family, farming, and community. I hope to see you this season!! Notes for visiting the farm:
