Hello! I am Charleene Magwood and I am a doctoral student at the University of North Alabama. I am investigating the lived experiences of consumers who purchase “locally” produced food. The goal is to help sellers understand why consumers with intentions to buy locally produced food may not actually purchase these items.
I buy and I am a producer of locally produced food. As part of my research, I am looking to interview individuals that buy food at local farmers’ markets or directly from local producers. The interviews will consist of 17 open-ended questions to understand your lived experiences in the context of buying “locally” produced food. Please note that some questions may not be asked if your response to another question in the interview answers some of the other questions. Interviews may last between 60-90 minutes and will be conducted in-person or web-based as applicable. I need to conduct at least two (2) to three (3) pilot interviews and I need to conduct between six (6) to twelve (12) interviews for the main part of the study.
Would you be willing to participate in my study?
Interested individuals can reach me via Facebook Messenger or via my UNA email at [email protected].
Respectfully,
Charleene D. Magwood
