We had some rain today and little Cleo and Geno apparently don't mind getting wet! Geno is learning to pick pockets!

All Mesa Trail mill customers: First, thank you for your patience. We are working as fast as we can to get your fiber processed and back to you. With shearing almost finished for the season, I am getting calls, email and texts daily looking for updates. We are about 4 months behind and we will never get that time back. In order to expedite your fiber, we have bypassed our own fiber completely. We appreciate your continued understanding.. There are only so many hours in a day and we are working as fast as possible.

Some young visitors came to hang out with the Alpacas. Geno got to show off his new haircut!

This is what a week looks like.. 1000 dryer balls out the door and working on a super large yarn order! Thankful to be back at work!

Thank you so much, Chris!! Praline got her hooves trimmed for the first time today! She's a good girl!

Our shearing day recap! What a day!

This little old guy doesn't get nearly enough publicity.. This is Spot, our only remaining Suri alpaca. We have had him for 12 years and even though he struggled in the harsh Wisconsin winters, he is thriving in Tennessee! We call him Spot because he has a brown spot on his hip!

During our shutdown, we built this temporary shelter for the cows and donkeys. The donkeys have really taken a shine to it so they enjoy their special delivery dinners in their shed!

05/27/2026

Not quite the dramatic release I was hoping for. Our resident predator has decimated my chickens and ducks. So they are back in the coop while we plan their outdoor space.. At least they are safe for now and will have outdoor space soon!
