Had a couple of my kids in the freezer with me, stacking like pros. They’ve got it down to a science.
Early mornings, cold hands, family working, and freezers getting filled for folks who appreciate good beef.

I had a fantastic conversation with a coworker today and it made me realize she's probably not alone soooo...There’s a lot of questions out there about how beef is raised by different farmers (grass fed/ grass fed grain finished/ corn only) vs store bought culled beef. If you could ask one real question about grazing grass, health treatments, quality of life, my cattle process, or finishing, what would you want to know?

Few calves are enjoying a Saturday afternoon snack, spent grains from Cypress Brewery. Not quite beer, but about as close as cows get to “it’s 5 o’clock somewhere.”

Full wet morning draining water lines and winterizing everything I could. Probably opened and drained 25 faucets today. Animals are set—plenty of food, plenty of water, and some reasonably dry places to lay down. Now heading home to do the same there, then finally sit down and watch a little football.

It's getting cold tonight! Stay warm everyone!
