Meet Caroline Croft Estay, our Co-Founder & Chief Potential Officer 🌿

At Vertical Harvest, Caroline has always believed that the most important thing we grow is people.

Drawing from her expertise in behavioral health, training, and case management, Caroline developed the Grow Well Model which the foundation of our inclusive workplace culture. Rooted in customized employment and person-centered growth, the model creates an environment where employees with and without disabilities are supported and have the opportunities to build meaningful careers that extend beyond the workplace.

Caroline’s mission is rooted in a simple but powerful idea: when workspaces recognize every person’s potential, everyone grows. 💚

The Vertical Harvest Mobile Market is visiting local real estate offices, including Compass and Keller Williams, sharing just-picked, nutrient-packed greens across the community.

A few members of our Maine farm team were lucky enough to join Liz Collado , head Park Ranger with , for a forest bathing walk at Jewell Falls. This experience was incredibly peaceful, connective, meaningful and one we won’t forget. If you ever have the chance to join any type of guided workshop or experience led by Liz Collado DO IT!!!

For those of you who don’t know, our Co-Founder, Caroline Croft Estay developed Vertical Harvest’s Grow Well Model. This is the employment model that guides and drives our team in all we do and all we hold dear. It grows our community connection, connection to each other and supports our personal and professional development. AND it REDEFINES WHAT WORK MEANS IN OUR LIVES!! Our farms wouldn’t be what they are without the humans who run them.

We are so so thankful for Liz’s time and wisdom. We will be better farmers because we took a moment to grow personally and connect with ourselves and nature. Thank you Liz. Thank you Jewell Falls. Thank you trees.🫶🏻

Vertical Harvest Maine joined the STEM Expo at Deering High School in Maine!! So many student microgreens taste testers!! I would’ve guessed Peazies the clear winner, but it’s a bit split across the board!!⭐️

Here are some kid quotes from the day!!🌱🌱🌱

“That’s fire!”

“They’re bussin!” (I did not know what this meant at first and needed a definition😉)

“That tastes green!”

“Way better than junk food!”

“Ya know what?!... I’m a fan!”

One student came back for thirds and said, “Can you give me some of everything??!”
