Located just one mile south of I-94 in historic downtown Jackson MI, Grand River Brewery is a unique celebration of the past, present, and future. At the heart of Grand River Brewery is a state of the art steam heated 15-barrel brewhouse, where our brewers take the utmost pride in using only MI hops and choice Midwestern malted barley

to construct creative and honest craft beer for those who truly enjoy and appreciate a fine beer. We are perfectionists when it comes to our craft, and that extends to Grand River Eatery, which combines traditional and haute cooking techniques, while executing a modern take on classic pub fare to serve creative, honest, fresh, and locally sourced food made from scratch. Originally founded as “Grand River Marketplace,” Grand River Brewery opened in 2013; designed to be a modern reincarnation of ye olde public houses. Smack in the middle of downtown Jackson was an abandoned building, originally built in the 1920s to be a bus garage and later recognized by the locals as Kuhl’s Bell Tower. The building was outdated, neglected, and covered in graffiti—completely renovated from the ground up, Grand River Brewery served as a focal point for urban rebirth in Jackson. It was a gathering place for everyone; hosting fundraisers, political rallies, weddings, office parties, and even private gourmet dinners. But above all else, Grand River Brewery was a place for the locals to gather and share the experience of beer with their friends. Today, Grand River Brewery is much more than the small local business it once was—it is the home of several award winning brews, a full farm to table restaurant, Craft Distillery, and Sleeping Bear Winery!
