Adina Orchards, 3972 County Road D in the Town of Barton, is the vision of Brandon Kohn and his wife, Danielle. Remember our last hornworm post? 🐛
Well we found an example of biological control at its finest to show you all! The white cling-ons(scientific term) are actually cocoons of braconid wasps. This means the adult female wasp injected her eggs into the hornworm, they turned to larvae, fed off the hornworms insides 🤢 , then emerged to spin the cocoons you see. Eventually the hornworm will stop eating and ultimately die. So cool! Go Nature!
