We stand with the kava growers of the South Pacific! As you may know, kava is now being grown and sold in the USA. We absolutely love market disruption, innovation, and growth, however, that can leave the major players in the industry with question marks looming.

We want to make it clear that Art of Kava is going nowhere. we love the friends we've made. Those business relationships matter the most to us. Everyone helps each other to make the industry as great as it can be. This includes the American growers.

I believe because this competition now exists, the potential kava that will now come from the South Pacific will be unlocked and we'll all benefit.

Nice write up. Sort of wish they didnt make it seem like they were saying kavas a gateway thing to kratom....and wish the differences were more pronounced in the write up.

Someone recently asked me "If you had to convince me of why I should start using Kava today, what would your first attempt be?".

My answer may not be what you would correct, but is the most true one I could think of:

I wouldnt.

Kava and herbs are a tool to be used for a reason. Usually the reason is stress, anxiety or someones trying to manage alcoholisim with something nonaddictive etc. Kava "can" help with those things but ultimately its their choice if thats the right tool to use at the time to achieve their ultimate goal, which is usually peace.

To get to peace those tools are used to try to help break the self feeding cycle of stress, anxiety, cravings. Then once its broken for a short time, reflect on how that feels and practice that. Then do that until u feel like you have the tools in you to manage those things on your own. Then kava becomes a nice thing to have once in awhile.

So as you can see, its not and shouldn't be up to a kava vendor to convince someone to try kava. Once the need for change is recognized kava tends to "appear".
