So it has been awhile!!! We are in full garden mode for the last few weeks so below are updates.

1. Sweet peppers
2. Cayenne peppers
3. JalapeΓ±o peppers
4. Sweet baby cherry tomatoes
5. Marglobe tomatoes
6. Roma tomatoes

Sorry to all of our followers, we haven't posted in a while. Not much going on here during the winter months. We did today process some quail. We think leaving the skin on what easier than skinning the (contrary to most We have seen do it). We also spatchcocked them (cutting that backbone out and breaking the breaststroke bone, so they lay flat) this make them easy to take the insides out. Hope this helps some of you. There are lots of YouTube videos on how to spatchcock a chicken. You just have to be careful when doing the quail with the inside still intact that you do not break into them. After you cut the backbone out take out the guts before pressing flat.

Today we took our overgrown cucumbers and peeled and de-seeded them to make sour pickles. They are not pickling cucumbers they are the standard type. The new "gut health" wave has hit my family. I have always peeled them, because the skins make me bloated. So we decided to do fermented pickles and remove the seeds as well. We will see how they turn out. We also harvested the cruked neck squash that we left in the garden to mature for the seeds. We are taking the squash it's self and cooking to make squash bread (zucchini bread made with squash)
