Beef recalls have been in the news lately, which has become a good reminder of why we do things the way we do. Every cut you get from JS Lowland Cattle comes from cattle we raised ourselves, right here, start to finish. No imports, no mystery supply chain, no guessing where it came from. Just our cows, our land, our name on it. Visit our website to order yours in bulk.

Having lean, farm-raised beef > 🥩

Our ground beef comes in at 95% lean, which means minimal fat and all of the flavor. And unlike a lot of beef you’ll find at the store, every pack comes from a single cow, not a mix of animals blended together. You know exactly what you’re getting, down to the source.
That’s the difference between farm-raised and factory-packed. 🌾

Same land, same light, same reason we do this every day 🌅 Five generations in, and days like this are still the part that never gets old.

We’ve been getting a lot of questions about buying beef in bulk, so we wanted to let you know some important information!

We don’t sell whole cows, bulk beef comes in quarters and halves. We typically offer these in winter, when the farm slows down and the market is closed, and it’s first come, first served (no waitlist).

Want to know when the next round opens up? Subscribe to our email list! that’s where we share availability first, along with direct links to reserve your spot. Head to our website to sign up 🐄

Ever wonder why you can’t always get a T-bone? 🐄

Here’s some farm knowledge for you: T-bones can only be cut from cattle under 30 months old. That bone comes right off the spine, and food safety rules around mad cow disease limit it to younger animals. After that age, you’re still getting incredible cuts, just filets and New York strips instead.

This is actually a big part of why we brought Fred into our herd. He was selected for his genetics for growth rate, so our cattle reach market weight naturally at a younger age. That means we can offer the full lineup of steak cuts, T-bones included, without cutting any corners to get there.

Good genetics, good care, great beef. That’s how we do it at JS Lowland Cattle. 🌾
