Meet John Shaw III, our Business Development Manager!

Joining the family business in 2004 as a buyer, John learned very quickly the inner workings of the business and what it takes to deliver upon Shaw’s reputation of having the best value-added products. He earned his product knowledge from buying all ingredients & packaging to building & creating new products with our team of production, quality control, culinary, and finance departments.

His main goal is to provide answers and chances for our consumers through our delicious meals. John earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Jacksonville University (Go Dolphins!) In his spare time, John enjoys spending time outside, traveling, cooking, and entertaining his friends and family. He’s also a great cook, according to everyone in the office!

As a University of Florida graduate with a degree in marketing, John Shaw has worked in the family company since his teens and has committed his career to it since graduating from boot camp in the Air National Guard, where he served our country for six years! As a member of a family business, he does what is needed in all areas to help wherever he possibly can. John enjoys the fact that he has the unique opportunity to work alongside his brother and sisters making it easy to never work anywhere else. He also enjoys his ranch, Pheenix Farms, where he raises racing quarter horses, exotic deer, and antelope with Debby Shaw, his amazing wife of 45 years!

Howard Shaw has been in the seafood industry for 62 years, and has spent the majority of that time at Shaw. There is nothing Howard hasn’t seen or done, from working on the floor as a 16-year-old to developing the value-add side of the business to purchasing and sales. For recreation, he shoots clay targets competitively and hunts and fishes with his wife, Bozena.
