Our Story

Jason is a third generation shrimper. He was raised in the ocean working on the deck of a shrimp boat. He eventually moved from deckhand to captain and then started the overwhelming task of purchasing his own boat in 2003. In 2016 it occurred to us that many people were paying inflated prices for the very same shrimp that our vessel was catching. This prompted us to establish J&V Shrimp Company in hopes of making great shrimp more affordable.
