We have some bittersweet farm news to share...
As many of you know, we were blessed with twin grandbabies just over a year ago. Lately, we've been making that four-hour drive across 199 and down Highway 1 a lot, and somewhere along the way we decided that being closer to them was where we wanted our next adventure to take us.
We expected finding a new home to take quite a while. Instead, somewhat to our surprise, we found just the right place much sooner than we imagined — the purchase has closed and we're now making plans to relocate.
That means we'll eventually be saying goodbye to our home here on the Applegate River and to Applegate River Lavender Farm — a place we love and will find very hard to leave. We're still working through exactly what happens next and when, and we'll share more as we figure it out. In the meantime, we're always happy to talk with anyone who's curious.
Mostly, though, we wanted to say thank you. For the past six years, so many of you have visited the farm, picked lavender, floated the river, brought friends and family, and come back to see us year after year. You've made this little adventure far more fun and rewarding than we ever imagined it would be.
We're especially grateful to Megan and Seth and everyone at A Greater Applegate for welcoming us and making us feel like part of what really is a family here in this little valley. And to our neighbors, former Applegate River Lavender Farm owners, neighboring farms, wineries, local businesses, friends and volunteers who taught us things, partnered with us, pitched in and helped make the farm what it became — thank you!
We're excited about what's ahead — and more than a little sad about what we'll eventually be leaving behind. ❤️
