Pro-Tec Engineered Buildings from Sioux Steel give livestock operations a clear-span, versatile building that can be configured around the way you actually use it.

These buildings work especially well for:

* Hay and feed storage
* Cattle and livestock shelter
* Calving and feeding areas
* Equipment storage
* Combination livestock/storage buildings

With natural lighting and ventilation, no interior support posts, multiple width and length options, and the ability to expand the building later, there are a lot of ways to configure one around your operation.

We can quote anything from smaller single-tube buildings all the way up to large Sentry Series buildings.

If you’ve been thinking about adding covered space this fall, send Lars Bros Ag a message with the approximate width and length you’re considering and what you want to use the building for. We’ll put together some options and pricing.

One of the questions I always ask before taking on a new product line is simple:

Would I want to own it myself?

I’ve never believed in selling products that wear out early just so I can sell another one later.

To me, that’s backwards.

Whether it’s AR400 skid shoes for a MacDon draper header, a Pearson cattle chute, or any other product we represent, my goal is the same: find products that are built to last.

If a customer spends their hard-earned money with us, they deserve equipment that can handle years of work—not something designed to wear out before its time.

Does that mean I’ll sell fewer replacement parts?

Maybe.

But I believe it builds something much more valuable: trust.

That’s one of the reasons we chose to represent Pearson Livestock Equipment. We believe in offering equipment that’s engineered for durability, reliability, and the people who depend on it every day.

I’d rather earn a customer for the next 20 years than make another sale because something failed.

Trust isn’t built by selling the cheapest product. It’s built by standing behind the best one.

That’s the kind of business we’re building at Lars Bros Livestock.

What if your feed could do more?

ProBiotein® is the proprietary digestive technology behind the SweetPro product line. It's a unique blend of fermented small grains, postbiotic yeast, and five prebiotic fibers designed to help livestock get more out of every bite.

Benefits include:

• Supports gut health and digestive function
• Improves nutrient utilization
• Helps maximize feed efficiency
• Supports immune function
• Made from fermented wheat, oats, barley malt, and flax

ProBiotein is ideal for producers mixing their own rations, TMRs, or custom feed blends and can be used across multiple livestock species.

If you're looking to improve feed efficiency and get more value from your feeding program, we'd be happy to discuss whether ProBiotein is a good fit for your operation.

Big News for Spiritwood and North Dakota Agriculture

ADM has announced plans to invest in expanding the Green Bison Soybean Processing facility in Spiritwood as part of a broader expansion at four U.S. oilseed crushing facilities. The Spiritwood project will focus on operational optimization and equipment upgrades, with completion expected by mid-2028.

The Green Bison facility has already become a major part of North Dakota agriculture since opening in September 2023.

A few facts about the facility:
• North Dakota’s first dedicated soybean crushing and refining plant.
• Joint venture between ADM (75%) and Marathon Petroleum (25%).
• Processes up to 150,000 bushels of soybeans per day.
• Produces approximately 600 million pounds of refined soybean oil annually for renewable diesel.
• Produces approximately 1.28 million tons of soybean meal annually, supporting livestock production across the region.
• Features two truck receiving pits capable of unloading 20 trucks per pit, per hour, helping keep deliveries moving efficiently.

This latest investment is another strong vote of confidence in Spiritwood, North Dakota farmers, and the future of value-added agriculture in our state.

What opportunities do you think continued investment in Spiritwood will create for North Dakota agriculture?

Most people think of soybeans as food, feed, or biodiesel. But NDSU researchers are showing they may also help protect steel from rust.

Their research found that a soybean-derived additive significantly improved the adhesion and corrosion resistance of advanced fluoropolymer coatings on steel. If this technology continues to advance, it could eventually be used on grain bins, trailers, farm equipment, tanks, pipelines, and other steel products.

It’s exciting to see North Dakota agriculture creating new opportunities beyond the farm.
