☀️🐴 The Summer Virtual Dressage Show Series is Here! 🐴☀️

Thanks to a special request from one of our longtime participants, Biamonte Virtual Dressage Schooling Shows are making a summer comeback!

Join us for our three-show Summer Series:

📅 June 25
📅 July 25
📅 August 25

Whether you're introducing a young horse to showing, looking for judge feedback, helping a young rider gain confidence, or simply wanting a fun goal to work toward this summer, we'd love to have you join us!

🏅 Classes Offered:

🐴 Special Lead Line Division using the USDF Introductory Level A test

🐴 USDF Introductory Level through First Level Test 3

👧 16 & Under Division

🧑 17 & Over Division

We're also excited to welcome back Kari Allen, L Graduate with Distinction, who will be judging all three shows. Having the same judge throughout the series gives riders a unique opportunity to track their progress and receive consistent feedback as they develop their skills over the summer.

Most importantly... they're fun! 😊

Bad bug🦟 day means shortened outdoor recess time. They don't seem to mind 😀😴💤

I won't make them stay out if they are miserable out there. They were much happier inside with no bugs.

Love have the whole barn screened in and so do they.

Guess I will be waiting on finishing mucking stalls. I don't want the tractor getting him up as I drive by.

🌸 Spring Back Into the Saddle 🌸

Every spring, I start hearing the same thing from women:

“I miss it.”

The horses.
The barn.
The smell of hay.
The sound of horses eating dinner at night.
That feeling when the rest of the world disappears for a little while once you’re in the saddle again 🐴

But somewhere along the way, life got busy.

Careers.
Kids.
School.
Schedules.
Responsibilities.

And riding became something they used to do.

---

But maybe this is your sign that it doesn’t have to stay that way ❤️

As the weather gets warmer and the days get longer, I’m opening a few lesson spots this spring for adult riders who want to reconnect with horses in a supportive, low-pressure environment.

No showing required.
No pressure to “be competitive.”
Just good horsemanship, confidence-building, and the joy of riding again.

Many adult riders begin in private lessons to rebuild confidence before transitioning into a relaxed, supportive small group setting.

✨ Spring Intro Offer for New Riders:
Purchase 3 lessons and receive your 4th lesson FREE.

Whether you’ve been out of the saddle for:

- 5 years
- 15 years
- or even longer…

…it’s never too late to come back to something you love.

✨ Spring Intro Offer available through May 31 or until current openings are filled.

Isn’t this how everyone eats breakfast at the barn? 😂🐈

Rare moment:
✔ I actually sat down
✔ attempted to eat breakfast
✔ immediately became cat furniture

Apparently personal space is not part of the morning routine around here 😅

Do you understand the tacit "rules" of riding a dressage test—the ones that aren't in the rule book? FEI and USEF judge Janet Foy offers her insights on the unwritten tenets of test riding to help you maximize your scores.

Spring on the farm means baby birds are everywhere right now. 🪺🌱

I was out walking the pastures today checking fencing and footing and almost stepped right on this little nest hidden in the grass.

It’s amazing how well nature camouflages them.

This time of year really is a good reminder to slow down and pay attention to what’s happening around us out in the fields.

Anybody else noticing nests everywhere lately?

Today on the farm I discovered a beautiful sparrow or finch nest.

As you can see, the cow birds have deposited 2 eggs

I look forward to following this nest as the parents tend to the eggs, cate for the babies and finally watching them fledged

By JAMIE SINDELL There was a time when I boarded my horse and got heated. I’m talking full-blown righteous fury over what I saw as egregious examples of poor care. Mistakes that made me seethe with rage. But now? I own my own farm. I’ve spent almost three years caring for my own horses. And […...
