We went away for our Annual Planning Meeting. Beautiful Lake Geneva. ☺️

Lots of projects on the farm this year: Adding an orchard, thinning the woods and planting plugs, planting more perennials to prep for bees in a year or two, beginning to repaint all the outbuildings a sunny “meadowlark yellow”, adding sand to the riding arena, and fulfilling my favorite longtime dream of having my own horse (or two!) again after 25 years of dreaming. 💕

Baby Thor moved in on Saturday, September 9th, 2023. He’s such a sweet lil guy and has a few friends moving in soon.
Thor and Oreo (moving in next month) are Belted Galloways, raised 2 years for beef.
Tootsie, our goat, wanted to peek around and see who all the fuss was about. ☺️

Heavy lightning storm last night took this tree down. This is the only driveway into, and out of, the farm. It’s lodged right amongst our main gate.
Help is on the way, along with friends and family on the other side to take the 2 biggest kids to work and to start cutting off limbs to run through the log splitter and chipper.

EXCITING NEWS! We are excited to announce that Hope Mosley has accepted the position as the principal of Oakhill Christian School. It is funny and amazing how God has things come full circle sometimes. Hope attended Oakhill for K- 12th grade. Her two older children attend OCS now. A little more from Hope…

“We have been so blessed and impressed with Oakhill’s Christ centered education as well as their high expectation of academic excellence. I attended UW Whitewater and graduated with a Bachelors in Special Education. I also earned a Master’s Degree in Administration. I am so excited to start this new endeavor and see all of the wonderful things God has in store for Oakhill Christian School.”

Our rooster crowed for the first time this morning! I’m so proud of him! I said out loud, “Well, look at you, Cluck!” (His name is Cluck Norris.) 😂
