That face says it all. This rooster is ready to roll, crated up and headed to his new home. Moments like this never get old, watching our birds go out the door and knowing they're set up for a great life on the preserve or in the field.

Ready to get your birds on the schedule? Get on our delivery schedule at pheasant.com or email Sarah at [email protected].

Getting pheasants ready for transport is a true team effort. Our crew works together to push the birds out of the pen and down the lane, where they're carefully caught and prepped for their trip. It takes coordination, patience, and a lot of walking to move a flock this size without stressing the birds.

This is the kind of hands-on work that's kept us delivering healthy, flight-ready pheasants since 1929. Every catch is handled with care to make sure these birds arrive at your preserve in top condition.

What a great turnout for our team-building outing! ☀️⛳

Last Friday, we held our first-ever MacFarlane Golf Outing, and what a fun afternoon it turned out to be! The rain delayed us a bit, but the sun eventually made an appearance, and we were able to enjoy some great golf, laughs, and team bonding.

A BIG thank you to Bass Creek Golf Club for hosting our group and helping make the day such a success! We appreciate you having us! And thank you to everyone who came out and made our first outing one to remember. We’re already looking forward to the next one!🏌️‍♂️

Wisconsin pheasant season is almost here! 🐦

Wisconsin’s 2026 pheasant hunting season opens this Saturday, October 17! Best of luck to all the hunters heading out this season. Remember to stay safe, wear your blaze orange or pink, and check local regulations before heading into the field.

A big thank you to the Wisconsin DNR for their continued efforts to stock pheasants and support hunting opportunities across our state!

Good luck, hunt safe, and enjoy the season! 🍂

The DNR reminds hunters and the general public that the 2026 pheasant season opens at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026, and runs through Sunday, Jan. 3, 2027.

The opening weekend, Oct. 17-18, has a daily bag limit of one rooster per day. Starting Monday, Oct. 19, the daily bag limit increases to two roosters per day. This limit remains in place for the remainder of the season.

Pre-stocking efforts began the week of Oct. 12 to ensure birds are on the landscape for the season opener. This season, the DNR plans to stock approximately 65,000 pheasants from the state game farm on 82 properties statewide.

Several pheasant hunting properties close at noon on weekdays beginning Oct. 19 through Nov. 3. Hunters are encouraged to double-check the legal shooting hours on the properties they intend to hunt in the online hunting regulations.

Additionally, hunters are encouraged to wear blaze orange or pink while pheasant hunting to increase visibility for other hunters and outdoor recreators. During any gun deer season, at least 50% of any hunter’s clothing above the waist must be blaze orange or fluorescent pink, except for waterfowl hunters.

We already miss this set up! Fresh shavings down, feeder lines hung, lights on, and a barn just waiting to be filled with chicks.

But don't worry, pre-orders for day-old chicks are coming SOON. Springtime cannot get here fast enough.

Check back at pheasant.com so you're ready to lock in your spot the moment booking opens.

That tail says it all. Barred banding, full length, zero shortcuts, this is what a mature, flight-ready rooster looks like when he's done right. Nearly a century of breeding goes into every feather, from the vibrant head plumage down to the last inch of tail.

Healthy, hardy, ready to fly, that's the standard we've held since 1929.
