How do I get my Frailey’s fall mums to bloom longer??

When it comes to flower buds, the goal is to select plants with buds that are tight and just barely starting to open. No one wants to do this, but the best way to get mums to last is to buy plants that you can barely tell what color they will be because the buds haven’t really started opening yet. You’ll have blooms that last for ages! Tight buds will gradually bloom over several weeks, giving a prolonged display from late September into Halloween. Mums with open flowers will peak sooner and may fade before the season is over. Fully open blooms are immediately gorgeous, but their peak is brief, meaning your plant may look tired after only a couple of weeks after purchase.

The Best Watering Techniques?

Bottom Watering (Potted Mums): Fill a bucket, sink, or tray with a few inches of water. Place the potted mum (keeping it in its original nursery pot with drainage holes) in the water and let it soak for 20 to 30 minutes until the soil is saturated and the pot feels heavy.

Direct Soil Watering: If watering from a hose or a watering can, remove any large nozzle or shower head. Gently push back the foliage and direct the water straight to the soil at the base.

How Often to Water?

Check Daily: Check the moisture level EVERY day by inserting your finger about 1 to 2 inches into the soil. Water When Dry: Water thoroughly when the top inch of soil feels dry. Avoid Overwatering: Ensure pots have good drainage so roots never sit in standing water. Yellowing or black, falling leaves are signs of overwatering and root rot

🫟🍺Thursday: Drink & Draw at regularly scheduled wing night! Dine in services begin at 4PM and the event starts at 6PM. You don’t need to sign up just show up! Fun event for friends and families.

🍕🐾Friday-Saturday: Brick oven pizzas, deep fried Strombolis, fresh cut fries and great appetizers available for dine in services starting at 1PM. We also added a new tap line to add an additional 5 drinks on tap! Be sure to stop in and try and flight and fill a growler to take home!
