In Mind Intruder, Farrah’s OCD causes her to have a complicated relationship with God. The “what-ifs” consumed her. The intruder says “what if you don’t have a good enough relationship with God? What if you’re a sinner? Like, a worse sinner than others?”
“What if I’m not good enough for God?”
“Does God understand me?”
The answer is yes, he understands! Everyone is a sinner. That is what Jesus died for—our sins. As long as Jesus is in your heart, he will cleanse your soul with forgiveness!
Farrah turned away from God, angry at the world and drowning in a flood of self-loathing.
“I stopped praying to God as much, why would he let me hurt? Why would he let me hate myself?”
But one night of desperation led her back to her savior.
“I knew I needed something not even my family could give me, and that was God. I prayed to him, begged for the hurt to go away.”
The very next day, she slowly started to feel whole again.🫶🏻
God often challenges us, but we have to trust him!
