We are SO proud of our kids! 🐊🔥

The Cajun Swamp Shack Cooking Team competed in the 2026 World Champion Gumbo Cook-Off, cooking up a delicious pot of Chicken and Sausage Gumbo and bringing home 2ND PLACE in the Youth Division! 🥈🍲

These kids put in the hard work, learned new skills, and showed everyone what a little Cajun spirit, teamwork, and determination can do! 💪💚

This is more than a trophy — it’s a memory they’ll carry with them for years to come. We couldn’t be prouder of our young cooks and all the effort they put into making this happen!

La House of Spice teamed up with Cajun Swamp Shack and Matthew with Hebert Specialty Meats for a great day at Wing Wars of Acadiana supporting project Gifting Grace, a great benefit to help the children of Acadiana. I would like to thank Felix with B&M Fabrications for the amazing fryer, Kevin Gary for all the help frying 3000 total wing and 200 Egg rolls for the event, Christian Landry, Caden Bourgeois and Tracie Buteau Landry for keeping the patrons fed with some awesome food. Matthew Hebert for the smoked sausage and the help.
David Hulin and WR Holman with La House of Spice thanks for inviting Cajun Swamp Shack to join the team for this great event. We are looking forward to doing it again next year.
