Landscape editing this morning. Removing honeysuckle trees.

They are highly invasive, fast-growing, create dense thickets, outcompete native plants for sunlight and nutrients, and release toxins into the soil, altering ecosystems.

Check with your local department, the USDA provides financial assistance per acre to remove invasive honeysuckle through the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP), administered by the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS).

Spring has officially arrived at Kind Living Farm 🌸✨

The orchard is waking up in the most magical way, our peach, pear and cherry trees are in full bloom, filling the air with the sweetest fragrance. All around the farm, pops of color are coming to life… daffodils, grape hyacinths, crocus, tulips, lilacs, and our stunning pink magnolia tree are just getting started.

There’s something special about this season, the feeling of fresh beginnings, growth, and possibility. We’re so excited to watch everything unfold and to grow as many flowers, fruits, and vegetables as we can this year! 😁🌱🍑🙌

Here’s to sunshine, soil, and a season of abundance 💛

💛First flower to bloom! Spring is almost here. 😁

H**p builds resilience from the ground up.

With deep roots that reduce erosion, improve water retention, and break up compacted soil, h**p enhances the health and productivity of farmland. By boosting organic matter and supporting microbial life, it’s a smart addition to regenerative crop rotations.

H**p sequesters carbon at impressive rates and acts as a powerful phytoremediator, removing toxins like heavy metals and PFAS. As if that wasn't enough, it can also bolster domestic manufacturing!
