And for our next trick, we will make the bees disappear in a puff of smoke!

Did you know that smoke masks the bees alarm pheromone? They also naturally move away from smoke. We use smoke to calm bees that are getting defensive and move them away from clustering on top of the frames so we can perform inspections and place additional boxes on top without squishing them.

We have lots of honey bottled and ready for the Hartsburg Pumpkin Festival next weekend!

Here's a little look into our bottling process with our new auto bottler! The (warmed) honey is pumped out of a 5 gallon bucket into the bottles. The scale senses the starting weight of the bottle to begin pumping and automatically shuts off when it reaches a set weight.
