We kicked off Soup Sanctuary 2026 this past Sunday with our team and it was awesome! A special thanks to Frank for getting the AV going for us it really helped and here are the passages we shared. They are the heart of the ministry and every volunteer. Everyone has a seat at our table. 🙏🏼💕🙌🏻

Cold, winter winds make me crave warm comfort food, hot coffee, and fellowship to brighten my day. You can find all of those at our Breakfast Bonanza, served the second Saturday of the month, October thru May, weather permitting.

On Saturday, February 14, from 7:30-10:30am we'll be serving made-from-scratch biscuits, pancakes, scrambled eggs, gravy, bacon, sausage, coffee/milk/juice -- all you can eat, $12 for adults, $6 for kids 6-12, kids 5 & under eat free. It's Valentine's Day, so bring your special someone(s) out for a breakfast we know you'll enjoy.

We donate the profits from these breakfasts to a different local charitable organization each month. For February, that organization is The Soup Sanctuary. an outreach ministry of Capital City Christian Church that provides free soup, sandwich, and dessert to the community on Sunday evenings, April thru October. Jefferson City Coca-Cola Bottling Company graciously allows them to use their side parking lot at 111 W. Dunklin for this purpose.

Coca-Cola provides the location. The members of Capital City Christian Church provide the volunteers, much of the funding, and make the food for The Soup Sanctuary. We're hold a fundraiser to help them in this mission project. You can come and eat and help support all of it. Truly, community helping community. It makes us *all* better.

Central Church is located at 118 W. Ashley St. in Jefferson City, 2 blocks south of US50 between Broadway and Jefferson St. (Just look for our steeple.) And, if you are searching for a church home, no matter where you are on your faith journey, you are welcome here. Feel free to speak with any of our members or learn more about us at ccjcmo.org .
