Today, the crew is cutting out sections of the asphalt so we can pour concrete where it matters most. 💪🔨

Why? Because we need a solid foundation to properly anchor the railing and bollards, helping keep y'all safe during your visit to La Ventanita. 🫵🇨🇺

It's not the most glamorous part of the project, but it's one of those behind-the-scenes steps that ensures everything is built and built to .

🧡 Big news from the Sang-Wich-Aye familia! 🧡

We're proud to share that our parent company, NCJM, LLC, has officially been certified as a Locally Owned & Operated Business! 🎉

What does that mean for Sang-Wich-Aye?

It means we're exactly what we've always said we are: a family-owned small business that believes in investing in the community we call home. From day one, our goal has been about more than serving great Cuban food; we want to be a positive part of Jefferson City and East Tennessee.

Every sang-wich we press, every cafecito we pour, and every customer we serve is part of that mission. 🇨🇺🥖☕

The support y'all have shown us throughout this journey has been incredible, and we're grateful for every comment, share, recommendation, and word of encouragement along the way. 🤝🧡

From the #305 to the #865, we're putting down roots and building something special, JUNTOS (together)!

🪠Our plumbers start work on the 24, they will be bringing us up to code and they are confident it will be done in a day!
🚧Our contractors are planning to have the bollards, rails, countertop, and smoker enclosures up before the plumbers start their work!

Growing up, it was , , and . Some traditions are just too good to leave behind 😏

This weekend we're back in the lab dialing in our pastelito recipes: flaky, buttery pastries paired with a strong Cuban cafecito. 🔥☕

The question is... what's your favorite?

🟡¿Pollo?
🟤¿Dulce de Leche? (our daughter’s project🧡)

Good news, y’all!!! 👀🔥

We went before the Jefferson City Regional Planning Committee this afternoon and got a resounding “YAY” from them 🙌🇨🇺🧡

So what does that mean?🤔

It means we are officially cleared to keep moving forward. Next up:
✔️ Permits (applied for today)
✔️ Getting La Ventanita ready for 🫵 (railings, bollards, bartop) ☕🥪
✔️ Health department & building inspections (once permitting is finalized)

Little by little, we’re getting closer to opening La Ventanita and serving up that Cuban 🔥!!! Like abuelita says: poco a poco se anda lejos. 🇨🇺

We appreciate every share, every comment, and every bit of 🧡 y’all have shown us through this process. We can FINALLY see the light at the end of the tunnel.
