A huge shoutout and thank you to Rolfe Blaess for gifting me his Swintec 8016 electronic typewriter!

It’s a pretty cool late 20th-century electronic typewriter, not the traditional mechanical typewriter you’ve seen scattered around the store.

Thank you, Rolfe, for thinking of Ope & Fable and giving this old piece of history a new chapter! 💚

New Vendor Alert! 🥛✨
I'm excited to announce we are the first retailer to carry Sundae Morning Dairy LLC! Sundae Morning Dairy is located just outside of Ogden and raise the most beautiful Brown Swiss cows. They have been doing an excellent job at the Ames Main Street Farmers' Market and Greene County Farmers Market in Jefferson IA. and gaining a lot of attention, so I am happy to be an outlet for them during the off-season for farmers markets!

Fun fact: This batch that came in today was produced yesterday! You really can’t get much fresher than that!

Lots of things added around the store today!

The Shop Local Punch Card Challenge is going on now and you can pick up a punch card here and at other participating businesses. I sneaked a peak at the basket and it is plumb full of awesome stuff!

There was a delicious smelling sourdough drop from Country Oven Home Bakery, a restock of the awesome paint-by-numbers from Fundenberger Studio, and a much needed resupply of the Iowa Native Collection from Verena Street Coffee Co.

I am actively working on a sidewalk sale table for Jefferson's City-Wide Garage Sale tomorrow! So keep an eye out for some fun sale items!

I will be open tomorrow from 11:00am-7:00pm and Sunday from 12:00pm-4:00pm!
