Shire Folk Farm at Sisyphus Acres

Shire Folk Farm at Sisyphus Acres Permaculture, natural gardening, vegetables, herbs, fruit “We’re going on an adventure,” and we’re asking you to join us! Stay tuned, our adventure waits!

Welcome to Shire Folk Farm where every day is full of wonder and adventure. Snuggled in a quaint valley amidst the Pliny and Presidential ranges, Shire Folk Farm is home to a great and powerful tech Wizard, his saucy Healer-Gardener wife, their small flock of duckie dragons, a pair of gentle giant chickens, a cunning feline advisor, a tiny fierce canine guardian and a pair of precocious flying mar

supials. The elders, Sisyphus and Honey, watch over the shire and offer their wise counsel. We are on a new journey, creating an enchanted food forest and restful space where we can enjoy nature, wholesome food and laughter - and share that with all of you! So please join on our quest, and we’ll travel this path together - through thick and thin, good and bad, laughter and tears, and always together - along Miss Bennett’s path, to Shire Folk Farm. We offer farm fresh dragon eggs (duck), seasonal fruits and veggies and a variety of herbs. We will soon be offering Reiki and other wellness services.

This weekend the Wizard and I crafted a railing to make the entry safe; winterized the duckie dragon abode; magically adorned the Gentle giant's dominion with faerie lights to create our winter wonderland ☃️🦆🐓🦆☃️

Blueberry lavender-glazed chocolate pumpkin donut recipe by Sarah of Sculptedkitchen for anyone looking for an herbal and antioxidant-rich fall treat.
"For the donuts:
🍩 1 cup of all-purpose flour
🍩 1/2 cup of coconut sugar
🍩 1/4 cacao powder
🍩 2 Tbsp melted coconut oil
🍩 1.5 tsp baking powder
🍩 pinch of salt
🍩 pinch of nutmeg
🍩 pinch of cinnamon
🍩 1/2 cup of almond milk
🍩 1/2 tsp of ACV
🍩 1/2 tsp vanilla
🍩 1 flax egg
🍩 4 Tbsp pumpkin purée
Preheat oven to 350F. Combine all the wet ingredients in a separate bowl. In a second bowl, mix the dry ingredients. Then add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. Put them into a donut mold & bake for 9-10 minutes. Let cool completely before attempting to glaze.

For the glaze:
* 1 cup of wild blueberries
* a few flowers of lavender
* 3 cups of icing sugar
* 2 Tbsp oat milk
* 3 Tbsp blueberry mixture after sieved
* if available, add 2 tsp of blue spirulina
Boil both blueberries & lavender on low heat for 10 mins.
Strain & keep the pulp for jam. Add all the ingredients together in a medium bowl & mix on high for 30 sec. If it’s too thick or too thin add more icing sugar or milk, respectively. Dunk w/ a fork & leave on wire rack. Decorate!"
